Approximately six years ago I was preaching at Mackay Christian Family Church and after the service I was approached by the Principal of Mackay Christian College, Ps Craig Murison. He invited me to help organize a multimedia camp for the students gifted in this area of ministry. I accepted his invitation and was teamed with Ps Peter Lister to get things going. We’re now into our fifth year of Multimedia Camp and over than time, I’ve developed a deep friendship, love and appreciation for Ps Craig. I can’ t wait for you to watch today’s video blog and meet him.

In yesterday’s blog, I talked about the wonderful former students who have returned to help with this year’s Multimedia Camp. I thought you might like to meet them via a video blog. Enjoy!

One of the greatest feelings a teacher can have is when their former students come back for a visit and you see success written all over them. Not only have I had that joyous feeling many times, but I’ve also had the incredible privilege of having former students come back to help me teach. During this camp, we had the very talented artist Stephanie contribute her skills. She is currently attending the Queensland College of Art in Brisbane. She has chosen to spend part of her holiday with us. Spencer was in the very first Multimedia Camp several years ago and he has returned to help with some Adobe After Effects animation. Spencer is currently undergoing a traineeship in telecommunications. Rebecca has returned to assist with graphic design and video editing (be sure to check out her blog). Rebecca is currently working at Mackay Christian College doing photography and media/public relations. Tomorrow I will post a videoblog featuring these three wonderful people.

I am very proud of our students! Each year I come to Mackay Christian College to teach a week-and-a-half long multimedia camp. Our objectives are:
This year’s topic is The Dark Side of Technology. We are not against technology. After all, we using a boatload of various technologies to produce our project. As Christians, we simply want to keep technologies within God’s boundaries as found in Scripture. Thank you for following our blogs to see how the project is progressing.

I am very happy with this year’s progress. Each year, the quality of our projects get better and better. I want to thank student Josh Burnett for coming in several days before our camp and assisting me with setup. I would especially like to thank Bill and Jono in the IT Department for bending over backwards to help me each year. My appreciation also goes out to my good friend and Principal Ps Craig Murison for his vision for Multimedia Camp. Finally, my friend and colleague, Mrs. Lindy McQuaker who heads up the Film and TV Department, is simply fantastic!
Thanks for watching today’s video blog.
